Environmental Initiatives
Our Environmental Initiatives
As a trading company, we identify market needs at an early stage and help deliver environmentally friendly products to the global market.
Supplying low-carbon aluminium foil to support sustainable manufacturing for leading companies.
Through our network of Asian converters, we supply low-carbon aluminium foil for refill pack packaging to leading consumer goods and food manufacturers. These products are mainly exported to Japan, where demand for environmentally responsible solutions is growing.
Customer request:
Customers expect a consistent supply of environmentally responsible low-carbon aluminium foil.

We source aluminium foil from China that is manufactured with reduced environmental impact, and provide it to our customers reliably. Beyond quality, we pay close attention to delivery schedules and logistics to meet customer expectations.
Our customers continue to recognize these materials as environmentally friendly and trustworthy. We remain committed to supplying environmentally responsible products that support a sustainable society.
We provide aluminium produced with renewable energy, supporting a more sustainable Japanese market.
We supply high-purity aluminium ingots from Asia that are manufactured using renewable energy, serving the Japanese market. These ingots are mainly used for 3D printing and are employed in advanced manufacturing environments. Composed of 99.8% primary aluminium and produced with low-impact electricity, they are TÜV-certified, offering a sustainable solution for environmentally conscious customers.
Customer request:
Customers value this material for its limited availability and unique qualities, and are keen to adopt it in their sustainable production processes.

Through strategic alliances with producers in the Middle East and trading partners in Europe, we have established a reliable procurement route that enables stable supply in large volumes. This route continues to support ongoing trade today. With growing environmental awareness, we are dedicated to contributing to a sustainable future by supplying responsible materials.
TOYAL-TITAN®: Supporting Next-Generation Technology
TOYAL-TITAN® (manufactured by Toyo Aluminium K.K.) delivers superior quality compared with existing cathode foils, while minimizing environmental impact by producing no waste liquid and reducing CO₂ emissions. These features have led many electronic component manufacturers to adopt the material, which is mainly used in automotive components and serves a key role in the supply chain.
Going forward, Toyo Tokai Aluminium Hanbai K.K. remains committed to supplying environmentally responsible products that contribute to next-generation technologies and create value for both customers and society.
Dummy Ball Recycling
Toyo Tokai Aluminium Hanbai K.K. supplies dummy balls manufactured by Toyo Aluminium K.K. as process materials for electronic component production. We began collecting used dummy balls in September 2022, and successfully collected 19 tons in the fiscal year 2022.
Our vision is to recover tin, iron, and nickel from the collected balls, recycle them into ingots at a partner company in Malaysia, and then reuse them as raw materials for new dummy balls. This closed-loop, product-to-product recycling approach contributes to a circular economy and demonstrates our commitment to sustainable manufacturing.

Proposals of Materials to Reduce Environmental Impact
Customer Industry: Confectionery and Dairy Product Manufacturers
We actively promote environmentally friendly material solutions. As part of this initiative, we supply FSC®-certified (CoC-certified) paper, primarily for packaging applications in the confectionery and dairy sectors. Since 2022, we have supported the shift from conventional paper to FSC®-certified alternatives. While adoption across the industry is still limited, we continue to provide guidance and implementation support to our customers.
In addition, we are developing proposals for other sustainable materials to advance eco-conscious packaging in the future.

- We propose environmentally friendly materials using recycled PET films and similar resources.
- We also offer products made with plant-based films, resins, inks, and other biomass materials.
- In addition, we are exploring mono-material design, replacing current composite materials (e.g., CPP + film) with configurations that are easier to separate and recycle (e.g., OPP + CPP).
